I have had the same contract as a driver for fifteen years now because

Times are changing,

I have been forced to ask myself,

“Do you Except Change?”

I tended to fight it for the first 46 years.

Now I go with the flow.

I have been work the past two years to simplify my life. 

We took a good look at all the things, we do for income. 

Profit and losses, not just total income.

Then I had to say, “I QUIT!”

Gave my two weeks notice at that contract position, 

That had been half my income for the past fifteen years.

I am free from the bundles drops,

Loved the work doing paper bundles.

DOING Papers twice a week for fifteen years is why I was healthy enough to survive the experience and to thrive after congestive heart failure that caused a widow maker.

Sorry folks, lets’ focus on the positives,

I understand the benefits of hard work.

Once, this contract paid $175 EACH DAY.

Now, after three years of annual cut back,

Last months, I was being paid $110 Each day.

I said uncle,

$10 a day each for Insurance, Gas, Maintenance, Vehicle depreciation equals $40 each day

$80 for my average 6 hours hard work 13.33 per hour.

Heaven forbid, I get into an accident and pay

100% for my commercial rated insurance needed to do this work.

If I no longer gets my 44% safe drivers discount I will not be able to afford it. 

Four years ago after that heart attack, it was different math.

$175 - 40 = 135 / 5 = $22 an hour.

I Loved it then.

The song says, “Every good thing time comes to an End”

Second, reason, to leave,

I can be a loud difficult guy. 

Angela new Job that she loves,

Is with this same company,

She was my supervisor at the newspaper.

I know me if they are lowering the rate again next month, I will be less happy at work than ever and one anger outburst could cause her huge problems.

Since we no longer need that, one contract, which is now the lowest paying day rate we had left.

The  problem is solved.

Third piece and best news for me.

Everyone that works in the driving business is at least a bit depressed.

I am getting more and more sensitive to others energies.

I am looking forward only spending time around Family, Friends and Teammates.

Hero that are also aware that we, “Get what you think about most!”

It has taken eighteen months, six - 90 day cycles. 

Now everything needed for a stable launch pad is in place.

Angela’s Contract driving position and her half time new position pay all the hiusehold bills. 

Best, piece, she is busy working.

One of the problems we have had is we love each other so much.

Sometimes getting work done from home, has suffered.

The contract driving position that keeps me active six mornings a week, Stays.

It Pays: 

Spending on each other,

Savings,

Emergency fund,  

Web expenses and now a

Training budget.
