Organize tonight the Six Most Important things to do Tomorrow
This may sound simple but it has been called “the Million Dollar Idea” and is said to be the Basic Tenant that lead Bethlehem Steel Corporation be America’s second-largest steel producer and largest shipbuilder. CEO: Charles Michael Schwab, who founded the company in 1904 (and who is not related to the stock broker of the same first and last names); a risk taker and a legend in the steel business,
It is taught by Earl Nightingale form his ground breaking work, “The New Lead The Field”
Cassette Training program from 1936 about Mastering Yourself, the Mind by Harnessing your sub concious mind to help you get more done.
Schwab once paid a Young man Huge Fortune for this simple idea.
Today I am sharing it with you because if you understand this Process & Implement this way of Prioritizing all ones activities you will be Forced to become more productive
Let me explain the story goes that a Young Man comes into see Charlie Schwab, promises to share his system to improve productivity by 100% this year
Schwab ask what the Young man wanted to share his amazing Knowledge. The Young man told Mr. Schwab that he had know Idea what the Idea might be worth put he would leave that up him once he had used the system for a week.
I have a You Tube Video where I talk about this Amazing Technique;
I have included Video knowing that a lot of people need to hear and see the message for it to be claer so instead of just relying on my typing skills I talking about what works for me.
The CEO agree and the Young man shared what had worked for Him!
Every night before you retire for the evening
Sit down at your desk or table and writ out a new list of the 6 most important things you need to accomplish the next day.
Organize that by numbering the tasks one through six.
Write down the Reorganized List,
Thank yourself, then go to sleep enjoy your night secure in the Knowledge that your Sub-Concious mind will work on best possible solution to the Problems that you put on your List!
The next night start the list with any of the items that did not get done today
Then add new items and reorganize them in priority so before you retire for the evening you again have a list of the
“Six Most Important things to do Tomorrow”
It sounds easier than it is and you can only have,
“the Six Most Important!” No More
You must Review the List of the Six Items in their Order of Priority ever night before sleeping!
As with any new Habit it will take sometime to become “Skilled at using this Technique to become more productive overnight!”
Mr Charles Schwab, had his meeting with the young man one week later and gave him a check for $25,000 That is not a lot of Money buy today’s Standards but in the early 1900 it was a Huge Fortune $$$ 😆
As you say easier said than done. I used to do that but very rarely did it go to plan. I must start doing that again. Thank you for the reminder.
This is my second time here and Im just excited as I was before. Real gd content and more related to this article…
I agree, you gotta just take action. The lesson is in the trenches.
I have heard of similar ideas, but haven’t tried it. But I’m in a plac now where I think I will. Thanks for the inspiration!
Useful information Michael. I often write out what I need to do the next day, but not just 6 and not in order of priority! I will have to try this.
