Wow, Believe it or not the daily morning papers out of Victoria is being delayed by returning snowbirds effecting the arrival time of their own Papers.

not these Snow Birds

Not these Snow Birds

I find that Ironic…

In the last two weeks my Times paper route has grown with a seasonal influx of Snow Birds.

That is a local Joke about the wealthier People living in the area I deliverer to.

Not these Cute Little Birds either!

Not these Cute Little Birds either!

I have about 250 customer between my two routes I do six days a week.  I find it amusing here on Vancouver Island, we have the mildest climate there is in Canada. Coldest it got this past winter was about minus 12 Celsius or about + 25 Fahrenheit.  By December 1 st over 70 People had gone some place warmer.  I was down to 180 customers and getting the route done in under 3 hours,    Cool I could sleep in a little now.

As, Winter went on I got to know my customer better.

Got some complaints, drop a few papers in better spots for older or disabled subscribers. It was Great till the snow birds started to come home some of them are taking the opportunity of their return to upgrade their own service. now a have a growing problem I can not get the Papers done fast enough to keep all these people happy all the Time!

It is now taking over Three and a Half Hours to Finnish the Route and I still have as many as Thirty Snow Birds that had Flown South to return. It may take me getting up a 3 am just to be done by the 7:30 am. I am getting it done at NOW!

It takes about one minute a stop and it does not matter how many stop that there is either.  [icon icon=”search” size=”” spin=”” pull=”” border=”” color=””] I love the fact I get paid to exer-cise it is the best bonus to work early in the morning. Of Course it is a Rewarding getting more in tips at Christmas than I was paid by the Newspaper company.

Thank you to all the generous people that tip their paper person at Christmas

Good news first then the bad news, Apirl 8 th the Safari’s Fuel Pump finely stopped working completely about an hour into the Route. Took a bit to get it fixed, ended up costing about what I made online last month and took ten days because the Mobile Guy I am using was sick for 4 days on  a positive note he is starting to take Immunocal so that will not be  a problem for him again. So this morning I head out in newly Fixed Van it is running like a top, only to have the Alternator Fail about 50 minutes into the route, leave to call my Daughter Bianca for a ride home and a short nap before Ange.  Got home and I could use her car to finish my route.Wow Jeff is a lucky Guy Two jobs to fix in less than a week if Life keeps throwing me curve balls I may yet become his Biggest Customer.
